Just got back from the Visual Studio Live conference held at Microsoft in Redmond. Regarding creative job titles, that seems to be what they are all about. So many different titles that just sound puffed up, Senior content developer, Principal software engineer, DevOps Architect and a lot of Program Managers. Oh, and DevOps? They are all over that, all day workshop, more than 10 presentations and keynote. Considering what a hot mess Windows updates have been this past 8 to 12 months have to wonder if this is really so good. Not sure about their hiring but after having lunch in their cafeteria one issue seemed apparent, ageism, had to look long and hard to find someone over 30. Wonder if they publish any relevant demographics?
Liked the conference at least, most of the presentations were useful, have to go back over them again.

Ageism is rampant. Though MS is at least doing some nice work now with vscode, wsl and such.
